The Role
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal, Legal Practice Assistant or Closing Coordinator to become a key part of our small but growing team, who would:
Track and coordinate real estate purchase/sale, business purchase/sale and commercial loan closings.
Assist with the preparation of real estate, commercial loan and corporate documents, including corporation and LLC formations and closing documents.
Assist with the review, preparation and submittal of title insurance documents.
Assist with real estate and corporate filings with the county clerks' and recorders' and secretary of states' offices.
Occasional legal research using Westlaw.
Provide a positive and professional interaction with our clients.
The role requires at least three years’ experience with commercial real estate closings and title insurance, either at a law firm or title company. For the right person with a proven track record in commercial title insurance, there is the opportunity to serve as a corporate officer and partner of our affiliated title insurance company, Commerce Land Title LLC.
The compensation is negotiable. However, you will find that we offer pay that is higher than other small firms and extremely competitive with large firms, especially when you consider the added flexibility and convenient and supportive work environment you'll enjoy here. We offer health insurance, 401(k) match, PTO, and partial education reimbursement for those pursuing a paralegal certificate.
